Research · the first research programme
Two research partners
Makefield is looking for two organisations whose real, published knowledge about themselves can be measured in its first research programme: how accurately AI answer engines describe them, set against their own sources. It costs nothing, nothing is sold, and an organisation is not named without its written agreement and sees the text first.
01 What happens
We agree a short set of factual questions about the organisation, the kind a buyer would ask. The correct answers are locked first, from sources the company has already published: specifications, documentation, its own website. Then each engine is asked repeatedly, in English and German, and every answer is scored against the locked truth, as in the example reading.
02 What the organisation gets
A complete Makefield reading of how AI answer engines represent it, before anything is published: the questions, the locked answers, every engine’s answers, the scoreboard and its fingerprint. The reading is a measurement, not advice or a guarantee. What the organisation does with it is its own business. Makefield does not do the fix and does not recommend anyone who does.
03 What Makefield gets
Permission to study something real: answers about an organisation that exists, checked against facts it has published itself. What the measurement teaches goes back into the method, and findings may be published, aggregated or anonymised, unless the organisation agrees to be named.
04 What it costs
About an hour, to confirm the locked answers against the organisation’s own sources. No fee, now or later.
05 What gets published
The study, with its method and its limits. The organisation is anonymised unless it agrees in writing (an email is enough) to be named, and it sees the text before publication. Findings that would identify it stay out unless it agrees.
06 Who fits
- An organisation with facts it has published itself and can point to.
- Based in, or selling into, Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
- Not in travel, tourism, tours, activities, attractions or ticketing, and not software that sells or books them.
07 The pace
This is a one-person research project, run a few hours at a time. A reading takes several weeks, two partners are one round, and the next round opens only when this one is published.
With the organisation’s name and one source where it publishes its own facts.
